Back to Life Chiropractic community outreach “Team Mission” is involved with these two churches that are both offering help during the Coronavirus outbreak.
This is from Dr. Schuler’s Home Church South East Christian Church Crestwood:
There are currently 5 ways to both serve and unleash people to action.
1. PRAYER
We want our people to use this time to Be the Branch in the midst of circumstances that cause worry.
Here is a helpful guide that we can use to center our focus in prayer on Who God is and what He’s doing. A great way to serve the Kingdom is to pray. We can offer a starting place for that.
2. NEIGHBOR OUTREACH
The most effective place you can give your time and resources to is your neighborhood. We know making an impact in this city starts with meeting needs in our own homes and neighborhood communities one at a time.
Here are some practical ways you can love your neighbor at this time.
3. MEAL BOX DELIVERIES
We will have Meal Boxes stored at the Crestwood Campus for those in need, there are a number of communities in Crestwood and surrounding areas that would benefit from a friendly face and some additional resources, please contact Drew Davis, ddavis@secc.org to arrange getting a box for someone in your community. Below are emergency feeding sites for any child under 18 anywhere 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. If someone you know cannot attend either of these sites please call the OCS Food Service Hotline at 502-241-3513 8am to 330pm Monday through Friday
La Grange Elementary
Oldham County Middle School
Kenwood Station Elementary
Harmony Elementary
4. E.R. PIZZA DELIVERIES
Missions is working to love and serve our hospitals. We have contacted all the major ER‚ around town and have offered to buy them meals to encourage and support their staff who are working their tails off to care for our city. What
we need is volunteers willing to pick
up and deliver the food. It’s a very easy job. If you are interested, follow this link for more information https://secc.servicereef.com/…/buy-a-meal-for-healthcare-wo…
5. MATCH PROGRAM
An SE member in Jefferson Co. has created a website that matches young/healthier people with an elderly/high risk person to assist them and help meet their needs (groceries/prescription pickups, etc.).
Here is the link for that matching website: https://www.louisvillecovid19match.com
There are a number of other projects and communities that need our help, if you would like to serve outside of your neighborhood in the crestwood community please contact Drew Davis, ddavis@secc.org
Hike’s Point Christian Church, our Team Mission church which we have gone on Mission Trips to Dominican Republic with and worked in their Free Clinics is also offering help. Check out their recent post on Facebook.
